residential addition (180 sf) : schematic design

A free flowing master bathroom suite focuses on natural light while maintaining a high degree of privacy. A south facing row of clerestory windows provides ample natural light while shielding the bathroom from views from the adjacent street to the south and window placement obstructs views from the neighboring residence. Windows to the west towards the rear of the home allow for private views and additional light. The existing roofline and facade treatment are continued from the main house through the new bathroom to retain aesthetic consistancy, but contemporary windows and detailing add subtle notes reflecting the additions distinct aesthetic variance.
