The Mill Street addition is a simple programmatic expansion to provide proper entry points and a living room where the whole family can gather. The 450 sf addition aesthetically balances the existing home by replicating the gable roof that addresses the street on the East end of the home. The roofline is projected out to provide a covered seating area that capitalizes on views of the bay to the North. The living room addition features a large window wall to the South to expose the interior to the low angle winter sun and corridor views to the sea through windows surrounding a central hearth to the north. A centrally located mudroom provides coat and shoe storage as well as access points both to the rear and front yards, providing new primary access points that previously did not exist. This existing home gets new windows, kitchen, roof, and an exterior facelift that modernizes the farmhouse while complimenting it's original shapes and presence in the neighborhood.
